We are the Cemetery Hoppers!
Welcome! We hop old abandoned cemeteries and hard-to-find cemeteries and try to honor and visit the forgotten souls.
What is a cemetery hop?A cemetery hop consists of visiting a cemetery and finding unique grave stones. Many times the most difficult part of a hop is simply locating the cemetery! While most are marked on a map, it can be difficult to locate a cemetery that has only one or two stones in the middle of a woods or overgrown field. Sometimes we arrive too late and find only remnants of where the stones were.
Our GoalWe enjoy a good challenge and hope to visit every cemetery in our local area, over 170 in Gibson County, IN alone! We aim to have no lone stone forgotten.
Where will we hop next?We are based out of Southern Indiana, but have also hopped various cemeteries across the country. You never know where we'll hop next!
